Course Code: T&L 2900, Teaching with iPads

Registrants in this course will receive a brand new iPad!

This 3-credit introductory iPad course is designed for classroom teachers to explore, practice and create content as it applies to the K-12 classroom. From basic management of iPad to content creation, participants will develop an understanding how iPad can transform teaching and learning. Each interactive learning module will connect content with pedagogical practices such as the SAMR model, differentiated instruction, and 21st century learning skills.

In this blended course, students will meet for six face-to-face modules and experience what it's like to teach with iPads in instruction. Throughout these six face-to-face modules, students will engage in hands-on learning, group sharing of ideas, and small breakout sessions that offer differentiation of learning styles.

Students will also engage in 3.5 hours of online work per week which includes course readings, reflective responses and collaborative sharing of ideas through one of our course learning management systems, Schoology. Students will create one product for each learning module that has practical meaning to classroom instruction.

This course is perfect for any K-12 educator looking to spark creativity and increase student engagement in the classroom!
