This introductory blended course examines how to integrate Chromebooks in the 21st Century Classroom as digital tools to enhance collaboration, creativity, and student communication. This course will provide educators the opportunity to learn all of the main G Suite tools including Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites, and Google Classroom. Additionally, educators will learn to leverage apps and Chrome extensions to differentiate and personalize the learning experience. This course is designed for anyone who wants to utilize free, powerful, collaborative tools with their colleagues, students, and community. 

This course includes a NEW Chromebook.

  • Explore the Chromebook functions and Chrome settings
  • Collaborate and Create with Google Docs and Slides
  • Collect and analyze data with Forms and Spreadsheets
  • Communicate and organize with Shared drives
  • Create and publish a portfolio of work via Google Sites

  • Collaborate and share best practices through course discussions

Notes

This is a 100% online asynchronous course. Materials will be released weekly with optional instructor meetings.

Through our partnership with the University of North Dakota, we offer 3 graduate-level professional development credits for all of our courses. Upon courses completion, participants will receive an official University Transcript. Courses are also available in Non-credit version where participants can receive credit hours to submit for Act 48.
