Maintaining strong instructional practices rooted in the fundamentals of education is essential to the success of students and teachers alike.  Technology is rapidly changing our world, and the students walking through the doors of schools. When technology is utilized effectively and with specific objectives, it can enhance learning in ways previously unimaginable.  Whether you consider yourself a “techxpert” or technology causes you anxiety, this course is intended for you. It’s structured in a way for a differentiated, self-directed learning experience.

This course will help teachers build technology integration strategies into everyday teaching.  These practices will also create a seamless transition to distance learning experiences.

This course will help develop instructional rich lessons with seamless technology integration.  Whether you are a new teacher, or in a new position looking to build from scratch or an experienced teacher trying to enhance your curriculum, this course will leave you spinning with materials, tools, and resources.  Let this be the course that thrusts you into a new age of teaching and learning. This course is a hands-on exploratory course to create the most effective activities for your students.

  • Learn how TPACK and the SAMR model create a foundation for designing and evaluating instructional technology integration.
  • Experience blended and flipped learning modules to then replicate and design digital learning experiences for students.
  • Investigate Web 2.0 Tools to enhance teaching practices and lessons.

  • Create effective strategies for communicating with students through digital platforms.

This is a blended course and will meet online weekly.

Through our partnership with the University of North Dakota, we offer 3 graduate-level professional development credits for all of our courses. Upon courses completion, participants will receive an official University Transcript. Courses are also available in Non-credit version where participants can receive credit hours to submit for Act 48.
